Change is a given everywhere even in this quiet part of the world, Webster County, West Virginia. Over in Huttonsville, my old friends Brandi and Chris have a new addition—Baby Magnum. And over the mountain in Webster Springs, Edgar Skene and Linda are now going strong. On previous visits Edgar simple said they were “special friends.” Bluegrass lyrics might say she’s Edgar’s “salty dog.” (Readers, don’t ask me to explain that one.)
“She moved in a few months back—yep, we’re an item now.” Edgar confirms.
And Misha has left Zave along with their dream--Camp Holly Campgrounds with a fishing lake, glam-camping and hook-ups, and live music on warm summer nights. I haven’t heard the details yet, but perhaps she decided this was not the life for her.
More news:
Edgar “took down” six deer this year, for each of the special hunting seasons. “Got them all out my back bathroom window!”
The year had other bounties too. Edgar’s inheritance came through and as promised, he bought himself a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Will he roar off into the sunset, I asked.
“Well, I’ll be ridin’ but ya know, I got Linda now.”
