Spots, Specks and Dust—May 2015

"Spotting" photographs is nearly the final stage of photograph preparation with the exception of framing which I won't be doing just yet. Spotting means using a fine sable brush #00 and black and brown dyes, I "dot" the image to cover irregularities on the photo's surface from dust or scratches. I enjoy it but it is exacting and there's no room for error. (It has a similar function to "clone" in Photoshop only it is much more meticulous and painstaking.)
